It’s a New Year!

Hello, everybody! I know, I have not been very active on any of my social media platforms… or this blog. Haha. And because of that, a lot of you have been reaching out to me about how I’m doing, how my writing is going, etc. Well… I’m about to answer all of your questions!

First of all, I am almost 16 weeks pregnant, but I am still very sick. When I was pregnant with Gwen, I was EXTREMELY ill the entire nine months and was put on some medication later on in the pregnancy when the vomiting and nausea wouldn’t calm down. I had to go to the hospital many times for an IV. This pregnancy hasn’t been a ton better, but my doctor put me on medication much earlier, so I’ve been able to keep things down more often. However, I still feel terrible. Haha. It’s been hard physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I just have to remember that it is worth it!

What I have is called “Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” which is extreme morning sickness and often lasts much longer than the first trimester. So… keeping up with the things I want to has been extremely difficult. Most days it takes everything I have in me to keep myself and my toddler alive. 😜 However, I am optimistic about this new year! I bought the CUTEST planner and have been making goals for the entire year, small goals for each week, and reasonable goals for every day. You know, things I want done/want to do, but just one small step at a time. I need to take it easy on my body, but I still want to stay sane! I really struggle with chaos and lack of organization… I also struggle with sitting at home doing nothing! IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! 🤣🤣🤣

What better way to start off this new year than to share some of my resolutions with my readers??? Let’s get started:

  1. Finish/Publish Novella 2 of “After the Tales and Princesses” by the end of March
  2. Finish/Publish Book 4 of “The Tales and Princesses Series” by the end of March
  3. Finish/Publish Book 5 of “The Tales and Princesses Series” by July
  4. Read my scriptures EVERY DAY (even if I just get in a verse)
  5. Declutter, deep clean, and organize ENTIRE house BEFORE JUNE (June is when baby #2 is due)
  6. While pregnant, try to go on a nice, long walk at least 3x a week (It’s been hard to stay active with how sick I have been)

Yes, things have slowed down a lot since I got pregnant, but I am confident that if I pace myself and take one day at a time, I can get back on track! Especially with my writing! I am so excited about what 2020 has in store for me and my growing family.

I hope this long-awaited blog post inspires someone else out there needing that little nudge. A new year is always a great time to start growing and improving! Do the things you have ALWAYS wanted to do! One of my favorite quotes reads, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
